Sarah Kapit

Sarah Kapit writes fiction for children. Her debut novel GET A GRIP, VIVY COHEN! was named a Schneider Family Award Honor title and won the Washington State Book Award. She is also the author of THE MANY MYSTERIES OF THE FINKEL FAMILY and SECOND CHANCE SUMMER.

Her next project is a chapter book series about a fun-loving Jewish girl. The first book in the series, RACHEL FRIEDMAN BREAKS THE RULES, releases in June of 2024.

In her previous life, Sarah earned a PhD in History from the University of California, Los Angeles. She is active in the neurodiversity movement.

Sarah lives in Bellevue, WA with her partner and their tuxedo cats, Bumblebee and Ladybug.
